Each tablet contains 500 mg niclosamide.
How It works
Anthelmintics are medicines used in the treatment of worm infections. This is used to treat broad or fish tapeworm, dwarf tapeworm, and beef tapeworm infections. It may also be used for other tapeworm infections as determined by your doctor. Niclosamide expels the cestodes from the intestine. No effect can therefore be expected in cysticercosis and echinococcosis due to cestode larvae (cysticerci) lodging in extra-intestinal tissue.
Niclosamide Dosage: The dose of niclosamide will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor’s orders or the directions on the label . The following information includes only the average doses. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so. Is Contraindications : It is important that your doctor check your progress at regular visits, especially in infections in which high doses are needed. This is to make sure that the infection is cleared up completely and to allow your doctor to check for any unwanted effects. Niclosamide Missed dose: If you miss a dose of Niclosamide, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double Niclosamide doses. This Storage: Store Niclosamide away from heat and direct light. Do not store Niclosamide in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may cause the medicine to break down.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Niclosamide tablets are taken after breakfast. It is very important that the palatable tablets are thoroughly chewed and then washed down with a little water. The tablets may also be taken disintegrated in a little water. For small children it is advisable to grind the tablets as finely as possible and mix the powder with a little water. If constipated, thorough cleansing of the bowels is necessary before treatment. Dietetic measures are not necessary.
In infestation with beef tapeworm (T. saginata), pork tapeworm (T. solium) and fish tapeworm (D. latum) one single dose is sufficient.
